It’s for nothing, if you want to have fewer pounds, if you do not start with what you think. So, if you came directly in here, stop. Go to what we think, how we think and read there first. Start with the beginning. Then, as normal, continue with your way of eating.

Okay, let’s start now: to clarify from the first lines: here we are talking about nourishment, not food. That is, what we give to the body to function properly, to stay healthy and in the best condition: so we choose to nourish ourselves properly. Not thinking about our lusts/appetite, which are emotionally related.

Let’s also say it differently: it is important to think about what we eat as energy for our body – so let’s understand and give it what it needs at that moment. Generally, most people think about what they want to eat, not what the body requires. I mean, you’ve eaten something once, you liked it, you want it again, then again, then again … so. You are no longer mindful of what the body really needs, but what you want emotionally – lust

Yes, in the second place, after the body needs, it can be lust. It’s not compulsory. When you nourish well, everything you eat gives you a sense of well-being, and appetites usually diminish and disappear. They do not make sense anymore. 😉 Whatever you eat gives you everything your body needs and it tastes good too.

Diets. Another invention of the consumer society and a method of making money. Pills for losing weight, paid advice, all of this was probably invented to help us “loos weight”, but they are focused on money, on a profit. And they do not consider the most important factor: what we think. If we have cravings, we think of food, we keep straps in vain. Even if we manage to finish them and even if they have an effect, after, no, we return to the old way of life. Kilos come back, sometimes even more, we feel without energy, the body is not perfectly healthy.

Nourishing healthy is not a diet. It’s not a temporary condition. You are not disadvantaged. You do not live to eat, but you eat to live. Nourishing healthy is a NORMALITY! For the body. THE BODY MATTERS!!! Not society, not habits, not customs, not what we sell, not profit (on our health), not the opinions of some and others obviously driven by financial interests. Stop for a minute and look around: how many nonsense are sold as nourishment – though it’s known we’re doing harm – just for profit!

The reasons why we eat just for our appetite and we forget that we have a phenomenal machine to drive (that is, our body) that needs certain things to function properly are diverse. Sadhguru also calls it “the most advanced equipment on Earth”. And it is !! We forget about that and we throw all sorts of stuff in the tank, which he can do as he can …. 🙁

Oftentimes, perhaps most of the time, everything comes from childhood: what our parents gave us as food stuck in our minds and it is what we like/prefer. This is the moment when we were asked to “finish everything out of the dish to grow”. We talk about it to identify the reasons, not to accuse them of something. They certainly did the best thing they could do for us. Just as we do now with our children. But do we really do the best for them?
